Saturday Morning Ride
March thru October
7:45 A.M., from Gorham Bike and Ski, Portland.
An aggressive, yet inclusive, jaunt around Scarborough and Cape Elizabeth from Gorham Bike and Ski in Portland. The ride remains neutral from the store until the group goes over the Caso Bay bridge, goes up Antoine Street on to Highland Ave. Then the ride is open to attacks and at time very hard riding. Two sprints highlight the ride near the end of Prout's Neck, and at the Cookie Jar Bakery in Cape Elizathbeth. The group stops there, in the parking lot next to the fire station to regroup and catch its breath, and then rides easy and compact back across the Casco Bay bridge, and into Gorham Bike and Ski. Bagles and coffee are provided at the store after the ride. Click here for a map of route.
